About News We won the IFTA for Best Sound for our work on Neil Jordan’s ‘Ondine’! I was the Sound FX editor on this and was working for the wonderful Ardmore Sound with a lovely crew of talented people. A number of films I did sound post work on screened at this years JDIFF: ‘Ondine’, ‘The Trembling Veil of Bones’, ‘Corduroy’, ‘One Hundred Mornings’, ‘Through the Night’ and ‘Jimmy Murakami Non-Alien’. ‘Corduroy’ also screened at this years Berlin Film Festival; the film's writer/director (and all round gentleman), Hugh O'Connor, has been blogging from the festival. I also worked on 'Butchers' which topped the polls in the first round of voting in this year’s RTE ‘Storyland’. I did the sound post for this; you can view ep1 and 2 here. I've updated my work pages with all of the work I've been doing and added trailers for each of the film projects I've been involved in. I’ve recently finished recording, mixing, production and mastering work on two new ‘Driftwood Manor’ releases, the first of which, ‘Holy Ghost’ is due out on Galway-based label, Rusted Rail. I've also done some music work for Bill Coleman, Ian Witty, Resurrection Fern and Drunken Boat. We have just released the new ‘At Last and Atlas’ album on Slow Loris. I also worked on the recording, mixing, production and mastering of this one. I recently recorded a session for Dan Hegarty’s show on 2fm as part of ‘St. Catherine’s Home for Lazy Infants’; we had a really nice day in studio 8 with engineer Tom Norton . I’ll post when I know the dates for it’s air-ing. We'll be able to upload the four songs we recorded after that. Old News here |
