News 9th November 2007 I’ve just uploaded my remix of the declining winter to the player on my myspace page. The declining winter is Richard Adams from HOOD. He has just released his first 7” under this moniker on the super-fine misplaced music label. The initial 50 copies came with an additional 3” cd of remixes from Epic 45, Remote Viewer, Part Timer and myself. This version is long since sold out. However, there are still a small number of the 7” available. For anyone wishing to buy it in Dublin, you can pick it up from Road Records, who have just named it their single of the week. You can also buy it online from Norman Records. Gigs News 28th Aug 2007 I've just finished putting together a remix for The Declining Winter (http://www.myspace.com/thedecliningwinter), AKA Richard Adams from Hood. The remix will be available as a limited run 3" CD, given away free with the first 50 copies of his debut release; a lovely, handpackaged, 2-track 7". It's being released by a great independent label called Misplaced Music (http://www.myspace.com/misplaced_music). You can hear a sample of one of the tracks on The Declining Winter's myspace (along with two other beautiful tracks). I am really delighted to have been asked to do this; Hood are one of my all-time favourite bands. There are details of how you can get you hands on the record below from the fine people at Norman Records. Incredibly, scarily, my debut 7" 'The Future Sound of Hip Hop parts 1 and 2' is already available to pre-order via Norman Records. Click this link below to secure your copy of the limited edition with bonus remix cd containing reworkings by Remote Viewer, Epic 45 Northstation and possibly one more. I'm told in good faith that this will sell quickly. I hope so.......and to think I haven't even made the sleeves yet ........... I better get cracking."

They've given it they're single of the week; here's the review: "Single of The Week goes to..... Northstation- 'Normstation' 3" CD EP (Slow Loris) It's no secret that we at the towers are massive fans of both Slow Loris and Northstation. Their last CD sold bucketloads and we've got a treat for you today! The Normstation CD EP! It's a 3 inch CD single which comes packaged in an origami fox! I shit you not. On the EP you have 5 tracks of remixes the Northstation lord has done and these particular folks are Hood, Halfset, Elsworth Cambs, Martin Finke, Herv. It's numbered of 100 copies and we've got 75 copies.... So what's it like?? Starting with the Hood mix it may as well be a Northstation composition... you can hear bits of the negatives in it but it's far removed from the original. Quality cut and pasted electronica.... Halfset I'm not massively aware of but the remix of their track reminds me of Julian Fane....very tasty....The Elsworth Cambs remix sounds nothing like the original again and it's pretty lush sounded (yet crazed) bedroom electronics..... really really cool. The Martin Finke mix is great as well. Singer songwritery thing over slightly skittery beats and extremely listenable! The final mix is from Herv is more bedroom electronics with strings which reminds us of Ddamage. A great great little EP and we're well excited about stocking it. This is an exclusive release from us or Slow Loris in Ireland. Fantasimo!- Phil" 20.02.07 It's been quiet 'round these parts of late. Here's some news: there is a new northstation release called normstation. It's being released on slow loris and comes in an origami fox head, handmade by Cat Hughes. Here's a pic. It's a collection of remixes of other people's songs; the full track list is here. This release is limited to 100 individually packaged and numbered copies, and will be available exclusively from the fine people at norman records. It will be available from 23.02.07. 14.09.06 'Wagtail' is now available to buy from the lovely folks in Plugd records, Washington Street, Cork. 29.08.06 Finally, the new version of 'Wagtail' is now ready to go, it comes in a fold out A3 inlay, with a free badge. you can view it here. I'll be putting some of these in Road tomorrow morning (Wednesday), and a package is being sent to Norman, so should be with them by Friday. 3.08.06 Hello all, just to let you know that Road Records are now sold out of ‘Wagtail’.
